In the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for 2005 the Partnership Manager, Geoff Bateson, was awarded the MBE for his work supporting literacy across Birmingham and adult literacy across the West Midlands. The nomination was via the Department for Education and Skills and recognises the drive on literacy through the Partnership which has been sustained over many years now.

Geoff received the Award, presented by Her Majesty the Queen, at Buckingham Palace on the 1st of December 2005.
